How we work

A process built for scrutiny

Every engagement is structured so the client can defend the findings — to a board, an auditor, or a minister.

01

Scope against the actual decision

We start with what the funder or ministry needs to decide, not a generic research template.

02

Field work & data collection

Structured, documented collection methods that hold up when someone checks the numbers.

03

Analysis & findings

Clear findings tied directly back to the original question — no padding, no filler charts.

04

Reporting & handover

Reports formatted for the audience that will actually read them, with a clean handover.

Questions we get

Before you scope an engagement

Do you only work directly with donors, or also with implementing partners and government departments?

Both. We've worked as the primary contracted research partner for donors, and as a subcontracted or embedded team supporting government departments and implementing partners on the ground.

How do you handle confidentiality and data sensitivity?

Respondent and programme data is handled under our standard confidentiality practice, formalised in our Privacy Policy — available on our Policies & Terms page. Specific NDA or data-sharing terms can be agreed per engagement.

What does a typical engagement timeline look like?

It depends heavily on scope — a single assessment can run 2–4 months from design to reporting, while an active LTA (like our long-running work with UNICEF) spans multiple rounds over several years. We scope timelines against your decision deadline, not a fixed template.

Can you support procurement, bid, or LTA processes directly?

Yes — this is a core part of what we do, alongside the research and evaluation work itself. Get in touch with the specific requirement and we'll advise on fit.

Have a programme that needs research support?

Tell us what you're funding, evaluating, or trying to prove — we'll tell you honestly if we're the right fit.
